I built the Chimera 19 Pistol because I wanted to offer a Glock-style pistol that already has the upgrades people end up adding anyway—without the guesswork, without the extra cost stacking up, and without sending your gun to five different places.
The goal was simple: take a proven platform and turn it into a complete, ready-to-run setup that looks as good as it shoots and performs like a true workhorse.
Every Chimera starts with a Chimera branded Grit Grips 19 frame that features an 18-degree grip angle, carry-friendly texture, accelerator cuts, and double undercuts for a higher, more controlled grip. Finished with an aluminum magwell for faster, more consistent reloads
Up top, the Chimera Slide is finished in a 2-tone black DLC and cut for an RMR optic. It’s paired with Angry Bear JRO optic-height sights, keeping a clean sight picture without cluttering your window.
The Typhon dual porting is a core part of the system. It softens felt recoil and helps the gun return to zero faster, so you stay on target without fighting the gun.
Trigger feel is personal, so I give you the choice between a Tactical Pontoon Peacemaker trigger shoe or a Shogun Customs F1 trigger shoe. On top of that, every Chimera now comes standard with the Tactical Pontoon Chimera Tune-Up Kit pre-installed—no upgrades needed.
I also updated the recoil system to a 15lb spring with a steel guide rod. It’s a noticeable improvement over the old 17lb setup, giving you smoother cycling and softer recoil.
Finally, I switched to Mec-Gar steel 15-round magazines, replacing the previous Magpul mags
